Raising The SUN 2011!

Okay guys, so in this post, I'm going to tell you all about my school's activity for the 9th graders which is called Raising The SUN or AMT. It was held from October 27th to October 29th.

The first day, Thursday, October 27th:
All of the 9th graders, including Acceleration 2 students, had a diagnostic test. The teachers measured how far we've learnt and how good we are in Maths, Science, English, and Bahasa Indonesia by using the test. It's also used to place us into the PM classes depending on our results.


After the test, we got lunch and prayer break. After that, we all went to Labschool Jakarta's auditorium for Raising The SUN opening ceremony which was quite boring at first. As usual, there were speeches from the leaders of the school and there was also a presentation (basically a promotion) from Labschool Jakarta SHS' principal.


Afterwards, there's a Meet and Greet with Labschool Jakarta's successful alumnis. They told us about their jobs, the great things they've done and they motivated us to achieve our dreams.


2nd day, Friday, October 28th:
We went to Grand Pesona Hotel at Bogor to hold the rest of Raising The SUN event. We got there by bus, and it took about 1.5 hour. Once we got there, we were given the keys to our room and we were told to unpack our things. The room was actually quite comfortable and it got a pretty nice view.


We then went to one of their auditoriums. There was this person called Mr. SGM, he taught us how to learn faster and better, which was quite fun and we also made a Mindmap with him.


After that, there was a Career Figure, and for our year, the Career Figure was Dik Doank. And then we had a motivation training with Aris Ahmad Jaya. And again another one from another Aris...


This day actually had a lot of crying moments... I did not cry when the others cried but I cried when the others didn't :(


3rd and last day, Saturday, October 29th:
Tbh, I wasn't excited when Raising The SUN started but I was kind of disappointed when Raising The SUN ended.


We made our Life Proposal this day. It's like papers with our dreams written on it. We wrote our UN targets, the High School and College we wanted to go to, what would we do to achieve our dreams, etc. After we wrote that, we stood on the chairs and read our Life Proposal loudly.

After that, there was another crying moment and this time, it's one of a hell crying moment. Everybody cried a lot, their eyes became extremely red and puffy. But I didn't cry???? Silly silly me.


And then... Raising The SUN was finally over and we all went back to Jakarta.
